Open your broker

A broker holds your money and executes the trades. We recommend Vantage Markets — it offers cent accounts, which THARΞX is built for.

1.1Register

Sign up at Vantage with your email. Use your real name exactly as printed on your ID — if it doesn't match, verification gets rejected and you start over.

OPTIONAL

You can register through our broker page using IB code Tharex. It costs you nothing and changes nothing about your trading.

1.2Verify your identity (KYC)

Every regulated broker must confirm who you are. Upload two documents:

ID — Aadhaar, passport or driving licence. Clear photo, all corners visible, no glare.
Address proof — bank statement or utility bill from the last 3 months.

MOST COMMON REJECTION

A blurry photo, or an address document older than 3 months. Shoot it flat on a table in daylight and check the date before uploading.

1.3Open a Cent Raw ECN account

In your Vantage portal, open a live account with exactly these settings:

ABOUT LEVERAGE

Select 1:2000 when opening the account. Higher leverage means each trade needs less margin, which gives the EA room to open its grid on a small cent balance. It does not increase your risk by itself — your risk comes from lot size and the drawdown limit, both of which the EA controls.

DON'T GET THIS WRONG

It must be Cent and MT5. MT4 will not run the EA. A standard USD account sizes every trade 100× larger than intended — the most expensive beginner mistake there is.

1.4Save your three login details

Fund the account

THARΞX needs room to work. An underfunded account is the fastest way to lose one.

2.1Deposit at least $200

Go to Funds → Deposit in the Vantage portal. UPI, bank transfer and cards all work in India.

WHY THE NUMBER LOOKS HUGE

Cent accounts display in cents. $200 shows as 20,000 USC. It's the same money in a different unit, and the EA handles it automatically.

BE HONEST WITH YOURSELF

More capital doesn't make the EA safer — it makes it survive longer. Those are not the same thing. THARΞX averages into losing positions: it wins often, but one strong trend can cost more than many wins combined. Deposit only what you can genuinely afford to lose.

Get a server

The EA must stay online 24/7 to manage open trades. Your laptop sleeps and drops wifi. A server doesn't.

3.1Create an AWS account

Go to aws.amazon.com → Create an AWS Account. You'll need an email, a phone number and a card for verification.

ABOUT "FREE"

AWS offers a free tier for new accounts, but the terms change and vary by region. Don't assume — check what your account is actually offered, and set a billing alert immediately. If AWS feels like too much, any Windows VPS (roughly $10–20/month) does the identical job with far less setup.

3.2Launch a Windows server (EC2)

In the AWS console, search for EC2 → open it → click Launch instance.

Click Launch instance and wait until the status shows Running.

GUARD THE .PEM FILE

That key file is the only way to get your server password. Lose it and you must rebuild the server from scratch. Back it up somewhere safe right now.

3.3Get the server password

Tick your instance → Connect → RDP client → Get password → upload the .pem file → copy the password it reveals.

3.4Connect to the server

On your own computer, open Remote Desktop (built into Windows; on Mac install "Microsoft Remote Desktop" from the App Store).

Computer — the Public IPv4 address shown in EC2
Username — Administrator
Password — the one you just revealed

A Windows desktop appears. That desktop is your server. Everything below happens inside it.

Install MT5

All of this happens inside the remote desktop window — not on your own computer.

4.1Download & install MetaTrader 5

Open the browser on the server and download MT5 from your Vantage client portal. Install it — the defaults are fine.

4.2Log in to your account

File → Login to Trade Account. Enter the three details you saved in step 1.4. When it connects, your balance appears at the bottom — around 20 000.00 USC.

4.3Allow WebRequest — don't skip this

The EA verifies your licence with our server. Without this permission it cannot, and it will show LICENSE NOT ACTIVE.

Tools→Options→Expert Advisors

Tick Allow WebRequest for listed URL, click the +, and add this exactly:

https://tharexea.com

Also tick Allow Algorithmic Trading, then press OK.

If the licence doesn't activate, it's this step 9 times out of 10. Add the URL, then restart MT5.

4.4Install the EA file

Download tharex.ex5 from your dashboard (inside the server's browser), then:

File→Open Data Folder→MQL5→Experts

Paste tharex.ex5 into that Experts folder
Back in MT5, right-click Expert Advisors in the Navigator panel → Refresh

Attach & run

Open gold, set the 3-minute timeframe, drag the EA on. That's it.

5.1Open a gold chart

In Market Watch find XAUUSD — on a cent account it usually appears as XAUUSD.pc. Right-click it → Chart Window. Can't see it? Right-click inside Market Watch → Show All.

5.2Set it to 3 minutes — important

The chart timeframe tells the EA which timeframes to analyse. Use the top menu:

Charts→Timeframes→Minutes→3 Minutes (M3)

On a 3-minute chart the EA analyses 3M, 5M and 15M together — the full picture.

5.3Drag the EA onto the chart

Drag THARΞX from the Navigator onto your 3-minute gold chart
In the popup → Common tab → tick Allow Algo Trading
Change nothing else. The default settings are correct.
Press OK

5.4Switch on Algo Trading

Click the Algo Trading button in the MT5 toolbar — it turns green. The dashboard appears on your chart. Check these lines:

EA RUNNING and LICENSE OK means you're done. It trades on its own from here.

YOUR LICENCE IS AUTOMATIC

It's tied to your MT5 account number and activates instantly on payment. There's nothing to request and nobody to message. If the dashboard says LICENSE OK, you're live.

5.5Changing mode later — optional

The EA runs Normal mode by default — no action needed. If you later want the more aggressive settings, switch it with a tiny EURUSD trade from your phone.

$0.75 grid. Wider spacing, builds a position slowly. This is what you get out of the box.

$0.30 grid. Trades more often. Close that EURUSD trade to return to Normal.

MODE ONLY CHANGES WHEN NO GOLD TRADE IS OPEN

If the EA already has gold trades running, it finishes them on the current settings first. The dashboard shows MODE [LOCKED] in amber until then. That's intentional — not a bug.

Common questions

Almost always the WebRequest step (4.3). Tools → Options → Expert Advisors → tick Allow WebRequest for listed URL → add https://tharexea.com → OK → restart MT5 → re-attach the EA.

Check in order: Is the Algo Trading button green? Does the dashboard say EA RUNNING (not PAUSED or HALTED)? Is the spread normal? Has the cooldown finished? The EA waits for a proper signal — it will not trade every minute.

Yes. Cent accounts display in cents. $200 = 20,000 USC. Same money, different unit — the EA handles it automatically.

Technically yes, but we strongly advise against it. If your PC sleeps, restarts or drops internet while trades are open, the EA cannot manage them. A server runs 24/7 without interruption — that's the entire point.

No. Any Windows VPS works — Contabo, Vultr, or your broker's own VPS offering. Steps 4 and 5 are identical whichever you choose.

Normal — and it's already the default, so do nothing. It uses wider grid spacing, which builds a much smaller position during a trend. Only consider Aggressive once you've watched the EA on your own account for a while.

Yes. THARΞX is a grid recovery system — it adds to positions as price moves against it. It wins often in ranging markets, but a strong sustained trend can produce a loss far larger than a typical win. There is a drawdown cut-off that closes everything at a set limit, but no setting removes this risk. Never trade money you can't afford to lose.
